1. Bring passion into your workplace

Do you use Fairtrade products at work? Or do you have friends who want to get Fairtrade into their workplaces? The Fairtrade Foundation is launching a new campaign this week to make it as easy as possible for you to get your workplace to switch to Fairtrade. Check out the brand new website and find all the information and resources you need to make it happen. There is also a great viral video and a fun sudoku game. Send these on to your colleagues and friends!

2. Change Today Choose Fairtrade

This is the theme for Fairtrade Fortnight 2007!! The dates are 26 February to 11 March and we are busy preparing posters, action guides and other materials which you will be able to order online from 11 December. What do you think will convince people to make the change? You can start planning now to make this the best Fortnight yet!

3. Campaign Day in Leeds

After a highly successful Campaign Day in London last week, we are building up to the next one which will take place at the University of Leeds on Saturday 14 October. There are still a few places left, so if you would like to come along to learn more about the latest developments in Fairtrade please email as soon as possible for more details and a booking form.

4. Make a Difference Day

Saturday 28 October is the CSV’s Make A Difference Day - the UK's biggest day of 'hands-on' volunteering. It's an opportunity to make friends, try out new activities and share skills, but above all to make a difference to your local community. Four ‘How-to’ guides have been produced including ‘How to become a Fairtrade Cook’ by Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall.

5. Right Corporate Wrongs

The Company Law Reform Bill is due to be debated in Parliament in November, so it is a crucial time to contact your MP and ask them to ensure that companies are legally required to report on their social and environmental impacts. We also need to ensure that people overseas adversely effected by UK company activities have the right to take action against them in a UK court.

6. Global White Band Day

Don’t forget that 17 October is Global White Band Day, so dig out your MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY wristband and unite with millions of people around the world to Stand Up Against Poverty.
